Afghanistan: Hometown Leave; Two dead after falling plan


Kabul: Thousands have gathered at Kabul airport to leave the country as the Taliban takes control of Afghanistan. Five people have reportedly died while hundreds were trying to board flights.


      An eyewitness said she saw five bodies being carried in the vehicle. It is not clear whether the five died from gunfire at the station, or whether the death was caused by a foot strike. Another eyewitness reported that American troops had earlier fired into the air to disperse the crowd, according to a Reuters news release.

      Anarchy was brewing in the country before the Taliban gained full control. In the meantime. Kabuli Airport has been closed and Pakistan has canceled all its flights. Similarly, the Delhi-Kabul Air India flight has also been canceled.
